Stark County Minority Business Association (SCMBA) is sponsoring the 6th Annual Golf Outing Reception & Silent Auction on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the Quarry Golf Club.

Proceeds support SCMBA’s staff, programs, and business development resources, including workshops, grants, networking events, and The Will Dent Scholarship Fund, designed to help future entrepreneurs pursuing a degree in business.  There are many ways to support:

It’s our hope that most of our members will consider participating in the junior outing, which is our primary fundraiser to help our young men and women enroll in the various programs offered by First Tee of Akron. In addition, your contributions fuel the Junior Enrichment Programs, which includes trips to Washington D.C. to tour the Smithsonian Institute.

The goal for the 6th annual junior outing is to have 18 teams — or 72 players, including several juniors. If you, and or your friends, are interested in playing, please submit names as soon as possible, preferably before Sept. 16. The cost is $75 per player and $300 per foursome for the junior event.

Tiretown Junior Golf Club Fundraiser Tournament Registration is $75.00, and $300 per foursome for the junior event.
